Article type
Annotation In this article, on the example of coal samples from the Tataurovsky deposit, which is almost the only type of solid fuel supplied to the city and suburban areas of the region, laboratory studies of gravity concentration are presented. The study and familiarization of the process of sieve and fractional analysis in laboratory conditions. Processing of the results of the combustion of samples is presented in tabular form to determine the ash content for each particle size of the test particles. Formulas are given for calculating the ash content of the sample, the average ash content, the total yield of the whole floated fraction (for coal - concentrate) for a specific specific gravity and the specific ash content, the total yield of the entire settled fraction (for coal - tails) for a specific specific gravity and a certain ash content. As a result of calculating the fraction yields for each density, studies were made on the enrichment of samples. The tabular version presents the results of calculations of the average ash content according to the density of the material, as well as the results of fractional analysis carried out under laboratory conditions. Enrichment curves are graphically presented: tailings curve, concentrate curve, ash curve, and density curve. The standardized indicators of enrichment by the Byrd method are given. The total yield of fractions of a certain density, the yield of outbred mass (fractions with a density of 1.6 to 1.8 g / cm3), as well as the enrichment index, were calculated. Identified (according to GOST) the category of enrichment of samples, by which one can judge the characteristics of the enrichment of this coal and the possible results of enrichment. In conclusion, recommendations are given for improving the coal enrichment of the Tataurovsky deposit and conclusions are drawn from the results of the study
