| Annotation |
Economic and social issues of development are priority areas for research in the regional economy in the context of strategic development. Each region has specific characteristics, which in the conditions of economic transformations can act as factors of current and forecast economic development, as well as factors hindering its growth. Therefore, in order to overcome the negative trends, to solve the problems of economic imbalances and stimulate economic growth, it is necessary to transform the existing system of economic relations within the framework of the creation of a macroregion.
The goal of the article is to study the theoretical base of spatial economic development and the analytical substantiation of the creation of macroregions based on factors of regional differentiation.
The authors substantiate the need for the development of regions based on the use of their potential, which can be realized in the context of creating a macroregion.
