Annotation |
The article deals with the state and development of medical services in the country. The necessity of fixed assets and financing of health care institutions modernization, increasing the share of paid services in accordance with the needs and capabilities of different groups of the population is substantiated. The development of the paid medical services sector is one of the urgent problems, because, on the one hand, this process is vividly expressed and occurs due to the regional markets formation; on the other, there are issues of quality regulation and consumer protection, cost and pricing. The topic of the article is relevant, because budgetary medical institutions do not effectively take into account the needs of different groups of population, growing requirements for diversity, level of service, accessibility and high quality of service.
The purpose of the article is to identify the main problems and trends in the medical services and medical care development as a broader concept related to the health of the population.
The research methods are system and situational approaches, analysis of legal acts and health statistics.
The features of the medical services market development and the main reasons for the active development of commercial medicine due to objective and subjective factors are described. The analysis of the concepts of medical care and medical services is given. The specificity of medical institutions management as an integral factor affecting the quality of services is studied; the applied approaches and their importance for the current situation in the regions are substantiated. The quantitative growth of paid medical services and the main factors of influence on the intensification of this process in the regions are characterized. The analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the paid and budgetary medical institutions functioning in terms of market opportunities, commercial, medical and social results is presented in the article.
The growth of paid medical services is a natural phenomenon, corresponding to the objective processes of regional markets development and the needs of population in quality and variety of medical care. It is necessary to control and monitor the state of medical services, as they have a direct impact on the level of public health
