Annotation It is well known that many natural phenomena and processes are significantly influenced by the gravimetric characteristics of the territories in which they occur. In addition, the gravimetric characteristics of the territories have a certain impact on the development of economic systems and the structure of population distribution. The article is devoted to the study of the properties of gravimetric anomalies along the riverbeds of the Eastern Urals. The anomalies in free-air, Bouguer and isostatic are observed. The quantitative characteristics of gravimetric anomalies variability along the linear sections of the earth\'s surface are proposed. In particular, to assess the change in the values of the anomaly along the river bed such indicators as the integral norm of the anomaly deviation from the mean value and anomaly value variation are used. The article presents a statistical analysis of the values of these indicators for a sample of 200 river sections. The obtained data for rivers were compared with similar data for a sample of 200 random linear areas of the territory. It was found that the variation of the values of each gravimetric anomaly for rivers on average significantly exceeds similar variations for random linear plots. At the same time, the integral norm of anomaly deviation from its mean value does not detect such differences for any of the anomalies. The author makes the conclusion that the values of gravimetric anomalies along the riverbeds are characterized by increased oscillation.
