Annotation Planning deep pits should be based on a study of the engineering and geological conditions of the quarry fields, the consequence of which is the zoning of the pit by the stability of the ledges and sides in general. The main factors, affecting the stability of rocks in the pit walls, are revealed. The integrity of the ledges of the pit career depends primarily on the state of the near-bed array, which is influenced by a number of factors. It has been established that the stability of the pit walls is directly related to natural and mining factors. The following natural factors are indicated: climatic conditions of the deposit, geological features, structural-tectonic factor, hydrogeological conditions of the deposit, influence of earthquakes. Mining cluster includes the geometrical parameters of the quarry, impact of drilling and blasting operations, as well as the negative impact on the stability of mining transport. It is concluded that it is impossible to influence the outcome of natural factors, they need to be studied. It is noted that the influence of man-made factors is triggered by production processes, and therefore, must be adjustable
Key words Key words: stability of ledges and sides of the quarry; deformations; rock massif; engineering-geological study; sparing anti-deformation mode; seismic waves; drilling and blasting operations; fracturing; boundary zone; limiting contour
