Annotation The spatial analysis of the socio-ecological and economic development of mu-nicipalities of one of the border regions – Transbaikal Territory – in the context of the concept of “green” economy is given. It was determined that residents of many municipalities of the Transbaikal Territory live in conditions of increased anthropo-genic pressure. It is noted that the indicators characterizing the level of socio-economic development in them are significantly lower than the regional average. In the process of analysis using GIS technologies, the deterioration of the situation in some municipalities of the border region for the period from 2011 to 2016 was re-vealed
