Annotation It is noted that the green territories are an obligatory and necessary component of settlements, they carry out practically all range of ecosystem services. Functioning requires their contents at the high level of viability. It is possible to provide optimization of sustainable development of the urbanized territories in general and their components in the presence of full urgent data on their structure and a state. The analysis of the field material 2530 of some cities of Russia which are green territory assembled in 2015-2016 by authors the technique of determination of level of anthropogenous transformation in the form of a state assessment matrix is developed. The matrix consists of 27 indicators ranged on 6 hemerability class and levels of geoecological tension. Among indicators it is possible to note turfiness of the soil, a density of crowns, height of a grassy cover, a condition of subgrowth, a moss and lichen cover, laying thickness, a trampled, single recreational loading, arrivals of cars, etc. Choosing from presented, on a total amount of the points corresponding to a state class, we will receive a territory hemerability class. Results of calculation for 2530 the planted trees and shrubs territories showed that 38,3 % belong to the fourth hemerability class (critical state), 32,4 % belong to the fifth class (a crisis state), the zero class (normal state) from total number of the explored planted trees and shrubs territories makes only 0,5 %, only 13 objects presented by groves, sites of the water protection zones and waste grounds. The state 3–5 class for platforms on collecting garbage and sanitary protection zones is noted
