Annotation The market of food products of Permsky Krai is considered, its specificity and state at the moment is studied, which is characterized by the volumes of realization of various types of products. The relevance of the research topic is noted, that the development of the food market is one of the tasks of the national and food security strategy of the country. The purpose of the article was to identify the features of the development of the food market in the Perm Krai, the main factors of influence.The methodology of the study was the analysis of statistical data on food products in the Perm Krai, the formal-logical method, the system approach. The analysis of the state of the food market in the Perm Territory is presented, the main factors of influence and development prospects are revealed. It is revealed that the results obtained can be used as the basis for socio-economic studies of the quality of life of the population and the level of consumption, and the formation of a consumer basket. It is established that self-sufficiency in food products facilitates the adaptation of territories, municipalities and subjects of the Russian Federation to crisis phenomena. It is concluded that the regulation of regional food markets represents an important strategic direction of national security
