The relevance of this study is determined by the need to improve the international competitiveness of the Russian transit routes in the context of the global transition from price competition to competition based on the quality of logistics services, as well as increasing sanctions pressure and the reorientation of cargo flows to eastern and southern destinations. The aim of the study is to quantitatively and qualitatively assess transit potential and develop scientifically substantiated approaches for its implementation based on the synergistic effect of infrastructure modernization and deepening Eurasian integration. The object of the study is key Russian transit corridors: the east-west (Trans-Siberian and Baikal-Amur Mainlines), the southern multimodal (International North-South Transport Corridor), and the Arctic (Northern Sea Route). The methodological basis consists of a systems approach, comparative analysis, economic and mathematical modeling, and structural diagnostics. To quantitatively assess potential and conduct scenario forecasting, a proprietary methodology for calculating the Integrated Index of Transit Route Competitiveness (IICTM) has been developed. IICTM aggregates four groups of indicators: infrastructure (capacity, level of digitalization), operational (speed, reliability, cost), institutional (simplicity of customs procedures, harmonization of standards), and environmental (carbon footprint, share of renewable energy sources). Elements of spatial statistical analysis (Moran’s IQP) are applied to assess neighborhood effects and investment synchronization within the EAEU. The following results are achieved: systemic constraints of each corridor are identified; IICTM calculations for the North-South International Transport Corridor have demonstrated that the implementation of the proposed measures could increase its integrated competitiveness by 49 %, primarily due to the removal of administrative barriers and the harmonization of regulations within the EAEU. Key risks (climatic, geopolitical, financial, and technological) requiring consideration in strategic planning are systematized. Conclusions are as follows: The implementation of a range of initiatives – targeted infrastructure modernization, digitalization of logistics, harmonization of customs and technical regulations within the EAEU, the introduction of green technologies, and the creation of a unified “Eurasian Seamless Transit” brand – can ensure that Russian routes become leaders in Eurasian transportation, provided that risk management is effectively managed and the efforts of all participants are coordinated.
