Annotation It is noted that the East Asia Summit (hereinafter — EAS), established in 2005, is intended to become a key multilateral international institution in East Asia that brought together the states of the region to discuss the most important issues in the field of economy, politics, sociocultural and humanitarian spheres. It is established that for more than ten years of the activity of this international institution, despite mixed assessments, the East Asian Summit has become stronger as an important regional association, within which cooperation is being conducted on the most relevant and important issues of an extensive regional agenda. It is shown that in the last decades, on the background of digitalization and technological development of economic processes, education is being strengthened as a foundation for sustainable economic growth and development. It is revealed that the countries of the region are paying increasing attention to projects aimed at the development of education, undertaking attempts to modernize national educational systems, improving legislative regulation, adapting international best practices. The position that the development of globalization of education and international academic mobility contributes to the formation of an international market of educational services is scientifically grounded. Accordingly, an increase in the level of internationalization of educational processes stipulates the need for international cooperation in this field, discussion and joint solution of urgent problems. It was noted that interaction in the sphere of education is fixed as one of the main priorities of the EAS activity. At the same time, it was concluded that against the backdrop of the continuing proliferation of the agenda, as well as the emergence of policy and security issues on the forefront, educational cooperation within the East Asia Summit remains unobserved. The objectives of the study were to analyze the educational track of cooperation within the framework of the East Asia Summit, identify its main direchons, review key mechanisms, initiatives and projects, their current state and prospects
