Annotation The analysis of the role and significance of ethnic stereotypes in the process of political socialization of young people of the indigenous minorities of the North is carried out. Political socialization is considered as the process of including a person in the political system, assimilation of political orientations and patterns of behavior. Ethnic stereotypes are defined as stable ideas about the different qualities of an individual people, as well as prescriptions for action against people of this nationality. It is noted that the main role of ethnic stereotypes is the regulation of the processes of intercultural communication, integration, cooperation, etc. The results of the research “The role of ethnic stereotypes in the political socialization of young people of indigenous minorities of the North” are described. The study focuses on the analysis of autostereotypes and heterostereotypes inherent in the modern youth of indigenous small peoples of the North, on the basis of which their attitude to their own ethnic group and representatives of other nationalities has been revealed. The authors confirmed the main features of the ethnic identity inherent in the youth of indigenous minorities of the North: emotional color, stability, truncation, tolerance, collectivism. The main factors and components influencing the process of political socialization of the young indigenous peoples of the North are determined. Among them, special attention is focused on the intellectual, value-motivational, operational, emotional and volitional components. The role of higher school and youth public organizations and movements in the process of political socialization of the young indigenous peoples of the North is studied. The application of social partnership technologies in combination with state support in the implementation of youth policy is grounded, among others and in relation to the youth of indigenous peoples of the North
