| Annotation |
The work is devoted to the activities and cooperation of international organizations: Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It is established that the participating states of both organizations have common goals, directions and strategic tasks for strengthening international cooperation. The growing influence of the SCO, like ASEAN, on the Central Asian states is estimated. The importance of these organizations and the result to which their cooperation can lead are considered. The results of bilateral negotiations and signed agreements between the two organizations are analyzed. The results of cooperation between the SCO and ASEAN have been summed up. It is shown that the SCO faces the task in all directions to become an active international mechanism comparable in its influence with ASEAN. It is noted that today there are a number of regional organizations and agreements of this type. The directions on which the effective interaction of the countries, entering the organization could be developed, are described. It is determined that ASEAN is building its internal unity and insufficient level of integration. As a result of the research of modern dynamics of international relations, it has been proved that the flip side of the world movement has become centrifugal tendencies. The influence and consequences of globalization were studied, namely, to what extent the processes characterizing this concept influenced the rapprochement of the two organizations. The conclusion is drawn that, having in many respects common positions on most regional and global issues, the future of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Association of Southeast Asian Nations has real prospects. Specific examples show how cooperation between these organizations will develop |
