Annotation The influence of polymetallic deposits (ores and surrounding halos ) on biogeochemical and geobotanical features of plants is considered. It is indicated that the influence is exerted by direct and indirect elements-indicators. Attention is drawn to the absence of direct dependence of the contents of chemical elements in plants and soils developing on ores of a certain mineral composition. It is shown that the forms of their presence in soils are of great importance for the absorption of chemical elements by plants. The most important are mobile forms, in particular, water-soluble and element-organic, the proportion of which is usually small and makes up only the first percent. The least mobile are lead, bismuth and arsenic, relatively widely developed in the deposits of Transbaikalia. The most mobile forms are characterized by zinc and cadmium, which is crystal-chemically closed to it. The use of the established features will increase the efficiency of prospecting for deposits and widely use of biogeochemical and geobotanical information to predict the impact of ores and mining products on the state of the environment
Key words polymetallic mineral deposits; ore body; regional and local dispersion halos; direct and indirect indicator elements; factors of elements absorption by plants; biogeochemical and geobotanical anomalies; mineral deposits explorations; environmental issues; geochemical situation; environment
