Annotation A signifi cant date 300th years of mining education is celebration in 2023 in the Far East and Transbaikalia imparticular. Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, V. N. Falkov; Governor of the Transbaikal Region, A. M. Osipov; Dean of the Mining Faculty, P. B. Avdeev, and other distinguished guests congratulated all those present at the Regional Drama Theater named after N.A. Berezin on the grand opening of the jubilee year. Over the years of its existence, the Mining Faculty of the Transbaikal State University and the Transbaikal Mining College named after M. I. Agoshkov have become the largest centers of mining education and have earned a reputation as solid educational institutions. The university has set a grandiose task – the creation of a Mining Academy. Project objectives are the following: transformation of engineering education in the Transbaikal State University through the creation of a space for integrated multi-level training of engineers for the mining industry in partnership with advanced enterprises and leading scientifi c and educational centers of Russia; creation of a comfortable modern urban campus (campus) as an infrastructure cluster for research, education, sports, creativity, recreation of students, teachers, residents city of Chita and guests of the city. The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, V. N. Falkov, got acquainted with the new concept of the Mining Academy of the Transbaikal State University and a promising campus project during a working trip to the Transbaikal Region and visiting the Mining Faculty of the university.
