Annotation Rapid occurrence of China in a group of the most powerful players on political arena attracts attentions from the side of the governmental and political figures as well as scientists and general public. A rapidly growing number of publications (in mass media as well as in academic journals) allows us to make a suggestion that during the last several years political and economic development of China has become one of the most debated issue in press, political circles, and academia. Eastern Asia has become the center of the world economic and political growth, which is represented by China. Nowadays Chinese economy develops fast while there is sustainability in the social field. However, along with that, mass public discontent occurs because of sociopolitical development of the society, which contributes to domestic destabilization of the country. Through strengthening its economic positions, China goes through political changes. Social positions of the country also became stronger. Such problems as social differentiation, corruption, abuse of authority and violation of human rights by executive office and law enforcement structures, healthcare and education problems as well as inter-ethnic and inter-confessional disagreements are most often lead to such results as mass riots and clashes with police. Sociopolitical situation in China is stable; there are no serious reasons to believe that in short-term or longterm perspective any serious changes would appear on the country-scale. It can be said with confidence that people support Chinese Communist party’s general political course. At present Chinese government conducts purposeful modernization of its sociopolitical strategy, which aims at the restoration of social balance in each sphere where it has been ruined over the years of intensive economic reforms. The bottom line of the new strategy is to switch from the exceptional economic development to coordinated development of rural and urban regions, general economic development of the country and income increase in all segments of population, economic and employment growth. In general, we can make a conclusion about the changes in domestic and foreign policy as well as in economy of China for the past 15 years
