It is noted that the results of the elections in September 2016 designated the social and political priorities in the Transbaikal region.
The uncertainty of the political priorities is a feature of the Transbaikal region, associated with the unresolved social and economic problems of the depressive subject of political immaturity, provincialism, apathy, low activity of political parties and protest voting.
Attention is drawn to the fact that according to the testimony of the regional election commission chairman S. Sudakova, the elections are held fairly. In the article two programs of the Far East and the Baikal region development are compared. It is noted that the two objectives were set in 2014 version of the program and one objective in 2016 — improving the socio-demographic situation in the Far East and the Baikal region.
The results of the research have shown that the development of small and medium-sized enterprises is one of the priorities of socio-economic development of the Transbaikal region, due to the high importance of small and medium-sized businesses in solving social and economic problems. The following socio-economic issues are problematic for the Transbaikal region: demographic decline; weakness of education, health care, fuel and energy complex; modernization of agricultural production; low level of small and medium-sized enterprises’ development. |
