Annotation With the ever-increasing advancement of technology, digitalization is rapidly changing people\'s daily lives and the way businesses function. Nowadays, anyone with a smartphone can shop on e-commerce sites around the world, regardless of temporal or geographic factors. With the rapid development of IoT and artificial intelligence technologies, new innovative solutions are emerging, such as autonomous vehicles. Digital transformation covers all key areas of people\'s life by means of introducing and implementing technological solutions. In this context, digital transformation is the rethinking of business processes and business models, as well as the creation of new values using the Internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital technologies. Not only technological progress and the scientific and technological revolution, but also the shocks caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic are causing accelerated digitalization and are rapidly changing people\'s daily lives, as well as the way businesses operate. The digitalization process is becoming one of the most important indicators of the country\'s development, and the banking sector is becoming one of the key conductors of innovative solutions. The aim of the work is to create an effective mechanism for digital integration of the banking sector based on open platforms as a trend in the development of the banking sector in the region. Subject of research: digital integration of the banking sector based on open platforms as a trend in the development of the banking sector. In the context of this work, banking platforms were isolated and considered in detail at the base, which are based on software interfaces. And also identified key organizational, functional and technical capabilities that contribute to the transformation of banks into an open platform. This work is devoted to the analysis of the features of the digital transformation of the banking sector in Russia
