Annotation The development of information and communication technologies has prompted states to increase cultural and socio-humanitarian resources. An example is the Korean Wave. It is designed to popularize Korean mass culture in order to achieve political and economic goals on the world stage. This phenomenon is unprecedented. There is a need for a comprehensive study of this phenomenon. The object of the study is the Republic of Korea. The subject of the study is the Korean Wave as a soft power tool of the Republic of Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the \"Korean Wave\" on the popularization of South Korea in various countries around the world, its economic development, and the enhancement of its international prestige. The methodological basis of the study is based on general scientific methods such as historical-comparative, systematic, and measurement methods. The article is reviewing phenomenon of “Korean Wave”, which has recently gained wide popularity. The author emphasize the basic resources, which presents the “Korean Wave”. The article also describes the factors that determine the success of Korean mass culture spreading abroad. The historical and comparative method has helped to study the growing interest to Korean culture in Asia, Europe, and America and in other regions. The measurement method is used to determine the impact of the “Korean Wave” on the economic and political spheres of Korea. With the help of systematization, the main developed industries of the “Korean Wave” have been revealed. The authors also identify the main areas of the “Korean Wave” expansion. The article states that the “Korean Wave” has formed an attractive image of South Korea, which contributes to the achievement of the country’s economic and political goals. As a result, the authors has pointed out numerous positive factors of the use of the “Korean Wave”, such as attractive image, financial prosperity, economic and political goals achievement, cultural popularization.
