Head of the Department of “Geoecology” of UGSU, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Center for Nature Management at the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Board of the Ural Branch of MANEB. Graduated from the Sverdlovsk Order of the Red Banner of Labor Mining Institute named after V.V. Vakhrushev (1980). After graduating from the Institute, he remained there: 1980 – 1985 – junior researcher, 1985 – 1988 – postgraduate student, 1988-1990 – assistant , 1990 – 2004 associate professor, since 2004 – professor. Since 2007, he has been managing the Center for Environmental Management at the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2010 He founded and became the head of the Department of Geoecology at the Ural State Mining University. Author and co-author of more than 120 published works.
He was awarded the honorary medal “For Achievements in Environmental Protection”, the N.K. Roerich Medal “For Merits in the field of ecology”, the orders “Silver Cross”, “Honorary Ecologist”.
