Professor of the Department of Water Management, Environmental and Industrial Safety, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation
Graduated from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute named after. V.V. Vakhrushev, specializing in “Underground mining of ore deposits of minerals”. From 1961 to 1964 – researcher at the Chita branch of the Central Scientific Research Mining and Exploration Institute (TSNIGRI). In 1965 – 1993 – senior researcher, head of the industrial laboratory of occupational health and safety of the Transbaikal Complex Research Institute of the USSR Ministry of Geology.
In 1968 he defended his candidate’s dissertation, and in 1985 his doctoral dissertation; in 1989 he was awarded the academic title of professor in the department of environmental protection and labor protection. From 1973 to 1993, he headed the industrial laboratory of occupational health and safety at ZabNII, and from 1993 to the present, he is the head of the department of life safety at Transbaikal State University.

For a series of works to improve the radiation safety of underground personnel at uranium mines in 2004, he was awarded the industry medal “For Services to the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Association” of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation, and in 2007 he became a laureate of the Prize named after. first rector of ZabSU Yu.V. Kulagin in the field of technical sciences.
